You are my hiding place; you protect me from trouble, and you surround me with songs of deliverance. Psalms 32:6-7
I have been in Washington D. C. this week then on to Nebraska, for the Jumping Tandem conference, and have used this as down time to listen to the Lord and write to the Lord about things that are on my heart.
Yesterday, the bombs blew their vile breath into the air with venom of metal tearing into all who were near. Next a senator received a letter containing more venom. Today, just as the sun is barely breaking the horizon, a fire alarm is sounded, evacuating the hotel. And at some point the airport in New York was shut down because of a bomb scare.
Gray haze covers the city. In the face of it all, I sing to the Lord.
You are my hiding place
You always fill my heart
With songs of deliverance
Whenever I am afraid
I will trust in You

Praise His holy name, Di — He IS our hiding place! Our Strength! Our Strong Tower! And I’m ready for Him to come on and get us. As my granny would say, “this world’s done gone crazy.” Maranatha!
In the meantime, we press on and keep the faith. I’m praying for your time at Jumping Tandem. It’s going to be GREAT!
Oh my. I haven’t sung that worship song in so long. As I sat and listened, my spirit just rested and I felt a releasing of the worries and stresses this world places hard on me. Thank you for sharing Diane.
the world suffered many terrible blows on the day of the Boston Marathon.
Bomb attacks across Iraq kill 50, injure 300,
Pakistan bears brunt of Iranian earthquake, 35 killed
I agree- being up close to Jesus, hidden in the depths of His love- is the only safe place to be!
God Bless you, dear Di.
