Our little Gianna was born Thursday, May 5.  During my daughter’s pregnancy, I felt impressed of the Lord, that Gianna was a prayer intercessor.  So I began to pray that the Lord would write His Word on the tablets of her heart and from an early age, begin to active the Word that would be in her.  I cannot wait to see what God accomplishes in this little one.

So many things in life are a great mystery.  How does the sun know its place and the moon know its rotation?  How can new life can come from a woman?  We all bear witness to these things yet are at a loss to fully explain how it is  done or what it  could mean.

1 John 5:8, “For there are three that bear witness (to Christ), the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.”

Blood, water and Spirit.  All three bear witness by the Father that Christ is the Son.  This too is a mystery.  Why do these things bear witness?  I’m at a loss to fully explain.  But this I have bore witness to: at the birth of a child, all three are present…water, blood and Spirit.

The birth of new life is a testimony of Christ, a witness of the Father concerning the Son.  It is symbolic of coming out of darkness into light, and having God give us His breath of life into us making us alive.

We see the miracle of new birth frequently, but never fully realize what we are seeing.  Little Gianna is a miracle, and she is a testimony of Christ for others to see and believe.  Born on the day of National Prayer, her life will be one of prayer, seeing with the eyes of Christ and interceding for His people.

May we all be found faithful to the call of prayer, leaving this skill in Christ as the greatest inheritance for the next generation.
