When you are wind tossed and driven hard by life and awake to dreams dashed–

When floodwaters drown your joy, and love seems like stories told to children before bed–

When salty seas come crashing in through the cracks in your heart and fear hisses, “I’m your only friend” then you question if Love will come to you.

Fear is the enemy of Love. Fear fights to keep Love at bay. Fear divides you from the One who is Love.

Fear tells you that your life is too broken for Love to save you.

Fear lies – It keeps you fighting for breath. Fear fights for center stage.  Fear wants your eyes on the hurt in your heart, facing fear, succumbing to fear.

But, breath comes from the Lover of your soul who fights for You.

True Love casts out fear! True Love pierces Fear in its narcissus heart, when it tries to destroy you.  Look to Love.

Love says, “Look in my eyes, see that I love you, and see that you are safe with me. Come near and hold on.  I am here, forever by your side. Breathe in, I am here.”

Love conquers fear.

Fear can never stand in the presence of Love, just as darkness can never stand in the presence of light. Fear runs to the shadows and tries to pull you in. Fear is always in the shadows.

But, Love stands in bright light and tells all around, “She is my beloved.” He claims you for His own.

Love comes and strengthens you.

Love comes and flexes His mighty right arm – As a young man flexes His muscles before his bride. Love holds you and you are strengthened, and made whole by His presence.

Love desires you

Hang my locket around your neck, wear my ring on your finger.
Love is invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of hell.

The fire of Love stops at nothing—it sweeps everything before it.

Floodwaters can’t drown Love, torrents of rain can’t put it out. (Song of Solomon 8, The Message)

The world is difficult, but Love will never leave you, Love will never fail you.  Love has overcome the world.

You are loved.  Be overcome with Love.
