What words can be given to comfort one so tender as she? A child clothed in a woman skin; trying to find ways to grow, to achieve, to parent, and to live up to the expectations of others. One who loves others so greatly, and serves so completely, that she disappears all together.
And her heart, all torn and bleeding salt tears, calls out to the one who appears to have forgotten her. Where have you gone?
It’s after the tears have dried grey stains down the front of her silk blouse, and after all has been said by the world, and after she has done all she could do to save the marriage, that the words come.
At first, so softly that they are barely auditable.
My daughter, broken and contrite, how could you believe for a moment that I would leave? I am here. I am here. Close your eyes, be still, and know my presence. I love you.

beautiful, however sad, words. thank you for sharing redemption!
Beautiful Di-sad; poignant-
Thank God for HOPE.
Love and prayers.
This is painfully beautiful – painful that so many are broken and hurting but beautiful that He is still there, no matter what, and that He offers such redeeming hope. <3
So sad, but comforting to know that we’re never alone. Beautiful, Di.
