Do you have a God-size Dream? Do you know that God placed that dream in your heart before the foundation of the earth? Did you know that when He placed that dream in you, that He gave you the feet needed to walk on your high places?
God has placed in me a God-size dream and the enemy has told me for years that I was not qualified, under educated, too short, and not liked enough by others to ever accomplish this dream. That the only thing I was after was my own glory and not God’s. This past weekend I went to a retreat called Jumping Tandem. I am now ready to jump in tandem with the Lord into all that He has dreamed that I would do with Him.
Is God calling you to jump in tandem? Can I pray with you today?

My problem is I don’t know what my God sized dream is. Do I even have one?? I am capable of doing many things (I have always said I am a little good at everything and really good at nothing), but how do I know what is the dream God placed within me? I read part of Holly Gerth’s book recently and it just depressed me because I have no idea what my purpose is. I know how I am and I know what I am good at, but does that mean that is how God is wanting to use me? I’m not really asking you these questions because I know you don’t have the answers. 🙂 Just thinking out loud basically. Please pray that I will be given clear direction. Thank you. 🙂

Rachelle, you are such a tender heart. Please stay in touch!
Rachelle, Knowing the whole picture of what God placed in you in not the point. I’ve gotten weighted down with thinking I had to know it all. The most important part of knowing your dream is not necessarily knowing the “doing”part of it, but knowing the Joy part. That comes with knowing that God is with you, scrubbing tubs, or teaching children to multiply (one more time!) it is finding Joy in knowing that part if His dream is working with the life you have with joy. “These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.”(john 15:11)
The work of Christ begins with the joy Of the Lord.
Rachelle,Lets talk tomorrow.
After I posted I realized I sounded kind of negative on your very positive post! Sorry about that and thank you for your kind reply. I know God is walking along beside me, I just wish I knew where we were heading! LOL! I need to concentrate on the joy of knowing he is right beside me and has it all in his control. 🙂
Rachelle, I went ahead and posted your comment, because you voiced what so many of us feel. You put into words what so many of us try to hide. But the truth is, we ALL feel this way – and sometimes it is felt more strongly than others. I will take all of it down if you want me to, but I think your authenticity is ministering to others. Just let me know! (Heart you)
Like I said I just hated to sound so negative, but it is fine to leave it up. It is something that I am struggling with right now. I really just want to know what God’s will is for me. I am a doer and I like to be doing. Right now he is making me wait and I know there must be good purpose in that, but it is hard. I am very thankful that I know he is right here with me though. I’m ready to jump tandem as well, I just don’t know where I would be jumping. 😉
I’m glad you’re not listening to the voices that tell you you’re not enough. You are WAY more than enough, and I can’t wait to skip along this path with you 🙂
Me too!!! Go for it Diane !!!!! It’s all for Him!
Thank you Barb! and You too!
Diane, I’m clicking over from Sandy’s Saturday link up. It is clear God did some wonderful, hard, encouraging work in everyone last weekend at the JT retreat.
(I have to say I smiled when you mentioned wondering about your God-sized dream because you were too short….I struggle with ‘I’m too old’ (60). Aren’t we silly in what we listen to?
May God continue to sustain and encourage you in your dream.
Jody, we hears lies so well, don’t we? I am not far behind you! Have you ever considered being a mentor? You are absolutely the perfect age for what God is calling you to do! <3
Diane,
Oh this is so true. We get told things in our heads – we are doing this for fame – but really we are doing it for God’s glory. So – full steam ahead. Praying for all of us to in His Spirit go forth and spread the word of God.
Blessings,
Janis
Whoohooo Janis! Amen sister!
Deidre shared that she had a God-sized dream a while ago and I’ve been amazed watching (virtually and from a distance) as her dream is unfolding. I get encouraged every time I’m reminded that I, too, have a God-sized dream.
First time here and your blog is lovely.
Blessings to you.
Dina, It is so nice to meet you! Thank you for stopping by and introducing yourself. And Yes, there is a God-size dream in you, working its way out into the world each day. It begins with finding your joy first in Christ, and then with the work he gives you to do. I hope you’ll come by again and visit.
One of my favorite verses… and I love it in Amplified. HE is the Provider on all sides, everywhere, all times. And thoroughly Trustworthy.
Thank you.
And it was delightful to spend time with you, out and about, at the retreat. Enjoyed watching you keeping the camera going and going some more. Obviously, very much on your heart. Hope to see you again…
Yes, Joanne, on all sides! Loved being with you as well. I need to take a picture of you to place on your gravatar! You are such a tender woman, and I’m glad we were together!
Thank you for your kindness. Greatly appreciated. Don’t remember ever being called a “tender woman”. You just touched my heart BIG TIME.
You are! Look at how tender you are toward your friends! You are a tender woman, Joanne.
