I went to find answers to who I am created to be and what it is I am to do with this one life, but, what I found was a burning bush experience. I was on holy ground because anytime Heaven intersects earth it is holy ground. Then, all the questions and worries about living the life responsibly faded away and all that mattered is that I am His and He is mine. The responsibility is with Him because I no longer own my life, it has been given to him. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.
He lives in my heart, and this makes any place my foot touches, holy ground. If only I would notice.
And so I worshiped in the hills.
The Lord is speaking, He is always speaking, guiding, calling us in the way He has created us to go, to be, to live. He whispered to me in this place, where I finally listened with my heart and not my intellect. This is my burning bush experience: I noticed a warming in my heart, and I drew closer to listen.
What is your burning bush experience today? What has caused you to pause and take notice of God?
Would you like to know more about the hills I’ve mentioned here? Check back on my blog Tuesday for the continued story.

I was so blessed to be a part of your burning bush experience. God is speaking this passage to me in big ways… The burning bush is what I was going to “speak” on at open mic…. Love you friend. Thanks for being the best roomie ever! Can’t wait to read more on Tuesday!
Jen!!! That is so exciting that you are hearing the same message! I love it when God works between friends with similar messages. Love you!
Diane..I’ve been trying to find a verse that says that everywhere we walk, God gives us the ground we walk on….. That came to mind reading your post. Having a burning Bush experience is very special….I’m sure you got some deep revelation from this and that over time we will understand a little of your experience as it comes out in your lovely writing.
God bless you abundantly, as you bless us all with your words and photos.
Love,
Mary
Mary, the other verse that comes to mind is in Joshua 1:3. “I will give you every place where you set your foot, as I promised Moses.” You are such a beautiful encouragement to me, Mary. Thank you for your prayers and friendship.
Yes..that’s the verse…thank you for telling me where it is.Joshua 1.3
It is a joy to know you a little Diane, and to be able to pray for you and your family.
I long for the day when we will all meet face to face !
Love,
Mary
So grateful to have worshiped with you in those hills, Diana.
Loved seeing you again, Sheila. Next year, you and me and a selfie!
Hey, dear friend. Jesus has been so pressing this on my heart lately – the thought that anywhere my heart tunes into His pursuit becomes holy ground. I long to live my entire life this way. And it’s interesting, how little of the time my intellect can grasp what He’s doing inside me — and how MUCH of the time it’s just these subtle movements and burnings in my gut, in my bones, that are too deep for words. Deep unto deep. I want to wake up, to be more deeply aware of the nuances of how He moves inside me. How He woos my heart.
Thanks for this today, friend. With you in loving Him and listening…
Your words always flow like a gentle stream, Dana. They bring peace to those reading them. It is truly a discipline to wake each morning and be first, mindful to greet His presence, then mindful of the breakfast needing to greet the hot stove. The order frequently reverses.
You are loved, sweet friend. The Lord sees your heart and loves you!
Hey there, just popping back in to say — thank you for the way you see. <3
Oh, so beautiful. I was swept into this and felt ever so close to this bush. I have wanted to know things and God has another answer that takes me to His heart instead. Thank You for sharing as I feel so blessed.

Hi Linda! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. I have not linked with Barbie in quite sometime but I always love the people I talk with from her community. God is so amazing, not answering the questions we ask but giving us the answers we need.
Beautiful Diane! The listening to God with your heart and not your intellect really touched me. Standing still for God is what is needed and your words will be the reminder that nothing is more important than hearing God’s whispers and then acting upon them. Blessed you linked up with The Weekend Brew.
Love the photo, and it’s so good to see you again! It’s a treat to “see” you. Blessings..
“If only I would notice.” – such simple words to remember. Remembering would transform our lives. So lovely to come here and read your words with the memory of your sweet Alabama twang. Be blessed Diane.
What a beautiful experience that Lord gave to you! “He lives in my heart, and this makes any place my foot touches, holy ground. If only I would notice.” I pray that God would open my eyes to see Him in every area of my life. Thank you for joining the community at The Weekend Brew!
