I went to find answers to who I am created to be and what it is I am to do with this one life, but, what I found was a burning bush experience.  I was on holy ground because anytime Heaven intersects earth it is holy ground. Then, all the questions and worries about living the life responsibly faded away and all that mattered is that I am His and He is mine.  The responsibility is with Him because I no longer own my life, it has been given to him. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ who lives in me.

He lives in my heart, and this makes any place my foot touches, holy ground. If only I would notice.

And so I worshiped in the hills.

The Lord is speaking, He is always speaking, guiding, calling us in the way He has created us to go, to be, to live.  He whispered to me in this place, where I finally listened with my heart and not my intellect. This is my burning bush experience: I noticed a warming in my heart, and I drew closer to listen.

What is your burning bush experience today?  What has caused you to pause and take notice of God?

Would you like to know more about the hills I’ve mentioned here?  Check back on my blog Tuesday for the continued story.
